Understanding the
Issues of Transferring a Business to Charity

help strengthen our professional relationship, I would like to invite you to join me and other
advanced practitioners for a one-hour teleconference designed to help you learn
how the advisor team can collaboratively and effectively plan for clients. This teleconference is approved for 1 CFP credit.

pre-tax and post-tax
management\employee transfers. We will discuss the financial issues of
transitioning ownership of a company in a way that focuses on value
enhancement. Every privately held corporation has three groups of employees—the
current shareholders, the next generation of ownership, and the rank and file
employee; successful transition strategies motivate all three groups. Topics
discussed will include:
- After-tax
Management buyout via voting and non-voting equity;
- Pre-tax
ESOP strategies; and
- Combination
strategies using cash-based incentives or synthetic equity plans in
conjunction with Management buyout or ESOP.
